Holon

This term has multiple meanings in the Bible:

1. Town in the uplands of Judah’s inheritance (Jos 15:51) given to the Levites (21:15). In 1 Chronicles 6:58, the town is called Hilen. Holon may be Khirbet ‘Alin, northwest of Hebron. See Levitical Cities.→ View encyclopedia entry
