Zemaraim

This term has multiple meanings in the Bible:

1. Town near the northern border of the territory of Benjamin (Jos 18:22). The most likely location is Ras ez-Zeimara, about five miles (8 kilometers) northeast of Bethel in the hill country between et-Taiyibeh and Rammum.→ View encyclopedia entry

2. Mountain in the hill country of Ephraim (2 Chr 13:4) and the scene of Abijah’s speech of rebuke against Jeroboam and the Israelites.
