Ahzai (Meshullam)

A Levite man, son of Meshillemith and father of Jahzerah, living during the exile and return, also called Ahasai, mentioned in 1 Chronicles 9:12 and Nehemiah 11:13.

About Ahzai (Meshullam)

A priest of the order of Immer. Ahzai’s descendant, Amashsai, was a head priest in Jerusalem in Ezra’s day (Nehemiah 11:13). Ahzai and Jahzerah were probably the same person (1 Chronicles 9:12).
