Amashsai (Maasai)

A man of the tribe of Levi living at the time of exile and return, first mentioned in 1 Chronicles 9:12 and also called Amashai in Nehemiah 11:13.

About Amashsai (Maasai)

Azarel’s son. He was one of the leading priests who returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile (Nehemiah 11:13). Amashsai may possibly be identical with Maasai (1 Chronicles 9:12).
