Beriah (1 Chronicles 23:10)

A man from the tribe of Levi, mentioned in 1 Chronicles 23:10 as the son of Shimei and a descendant of Gershom, living during the time of Egypt and the wilderness.

About Beriah (1 Chronicles 23:10)

Shimei’s son, a Levite of the clan of Gershon who served in the temple at Jerusalem. Because neither Beriah nor his brother Jeush had many sons, their families were counted as a single subclan within the Levites (1 Chronicles 23:1011).
