Shaul, also called Joel, was a man of the tribe of Levi, the son of Uzziah and father of Elkanah, mentioned in 1 Chronicles 6:24.

The son of Simeon by a Canaanite woman (Genesis 46:10; Exodus 6:15; 1 Chronicles 4:24). He was the leader of the Shaulite family (Numbers 26:13).
