Tanhumeth, first mentioned in 2 Kings 25:23, was a man living during the time of the divided kingdom and the father of Seraiah.

Seraiah’s father from the town of Netophah in Judah. Seraiah was the captain of an army of Netophathite men, who served under Gedaliah during the Babylonian suzerainty (2 Kgs 25:23; Jer 40:8).
