Uriel (1 Chronicles 15:5)

Uriel, a man from the tribe of Levi and descendant of Kohath, lived during the time of the divided kingdom, first mentioned in 1 Chronicles 15:5.

About Uriel (1 Chronicles 15:5)

A Levite who watched over the moving of the ark from the house of Obed-edom to Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 15:5–11). He was a Kohathite clan chief in charge of 120 of the men who helped in the ceremony. Uriel had to go through special preparation to make himself pure before God so that he could carry the ark.
