Kittim

An island in the Mediterranean Sea; possibly to be identified with Cyprus.

About Kittim

The ancient Hebrew name for the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea. The name comes from descendants of Javan (the Kittites) mentioned in the Table of Nations (Genesis 10:4). The prophet Daniel mentions "ships from Kittim" in a vision (Daniel 11:30)
