Shelemiah, also known as Meshelemiah, was a Levite living during the time of the exile and return, first mentioned in 1 Chronicles 9:21 and the father of several sons including Zechariah and Jediael.

1. Korahite from the tribe of Levi and a gatekeeper who was chosen by lot to guard the east gate of the sanctuary during David’s reign (1 Chr 26:14); also named Meshelemiah (vv 1–2). See Meshelemiah.
