1. Korahite from the tribe of Levi and a gatekeeper who was chosen by lot to guard the east gate of the sanctuary during David’s reign (1 Chr 26:14); also named Meshelemiah (vv 1–2). See Meshelemiah.

2–3. Two of Binnui’s sons, who were encouraged to divorce their foreign wives during Ezra’s postexilic reforms in Israel (Ezr 10:39–41).
