A son of the Reuben, the first-born son of the patriarch Jacob. He is also known as Karmi.
About Carmi
One of Reuben’s sons; he joined his grandfather Jacob in moving to Egypt (Genesis 46:9; Exodus 6:14; 1 Chronicles 5:3). He founded the family of Carmites (Numbers 26:5–7).
