Puvah, also known as Puah or Phuvah, is a man from the tribe of Issachar mentioned in Genesis 46:13 and Numbers 26:23, who lived during the time of Egypt and the wilderness as a son of Issachar and brother of Tola, Jashub, and Shimron.
About Puvah (Puah)
Issachar’s son, who went with Jacob and his household to Egypt, where they sought refuge from the severe famine in Palestine (Gn 46:13; nlt “Puah”). Puvah founded the Punite family (Nm 26:23) and is alternately called Puah in 1 Chronicles 7:1.
